Weapons and Calibres

Duke Safaris supports a variety of hunting methods, including rifle, pistol, black powder, and bow hunts. Caliber selection depends on the game being pursued. For most plains game species, medium calibres starting from 7mm are suitable, though we recommend using premium bullets for optimal performance. For hunting dangerous, thick-skinned game, South African law requires a minimum calibre of .375. If needed, we offer rifle rentals, all carefully maintained and paired with premium-quality, handloaded ammunition. These rifles have been rigorously tested to ensure consistent bullet weight, construction, accuracy, and dependable performance, allowing you to hunt with complete confidence.
